Hello Fellow River Rats! I own 3 boats, a 15 ft lightweight special from Grumman that I bought at 14 with a lifetime guarantee against leaks, a 16 foot jon and a 21 foot open bow. Different boats for different purposes, but definitely a part of river life here. We enjoy cruising after open houses and in the evenings after work. We were both raised on the river and enjoy a lot of different boating activities. We even took our open bow from Hampton down to Hannibal, Missouri and back. Not exactly a Tom Sawyer raft, but I did good to get my wife to agree to the days in the sun waiting for the locks to open. The views were spectacular. The softer seat and occasional radio tune, made it bearable.
