WELCOME TO THE QUAD CITIES

So you are coming to the Quad Cities to live and you know nothing about us. First, you can put aside all the hick in the cornfield with the pigs stereotypes. We have soy beans and wheat too! Just kidding! Yes there is a Field of Dreams and we do have corn fields, but we also have excellent colleges and universities. Name entertainment comes through on tours to the Adler, Mark and Circa 21. We have lots of golf courses, parks and bike trails. We have professional arena football, hockey and baseball. All the amenities of a large city, the friendliness of a small town with very little crime for an area of our size. Some people still leave their doors unlocked, (not recommended anywhere, not even here anymore). In short, it is small town, middle America living with most of the advantages of larger cities. We are also one of the most affordable areas to live in within the United States. I came here 33 years ago out of Chicago. I have never been unhappy with the change. I can even be home from work from anywhere within the Quad Cities within 5 to 20 minutes. Compared to Chicago where an hour and a half was normal to and again from work. This is really great! If you have a real need for the big city, Chicago is just 3 hours away and St. Louis 5 hours.
